Electricity demand expected to increase by 62%

The “New Energy Outlook” report issued by BloombergNEF analyzes the evolution of energy generation expansion demands and costs over the coming decades.

According to the document, with a demand increase of up to 62%, the total installed capacity in the world is expected to triple by 2050, attracting 13.3 trillion dollars in investments, of which wind power is expected to be 5.3 trillion and solar 4.2 trillion – increasing the share of these sources to up to 48% of the global matrix and virtually eliminating oil plants.
